Close attention
The client’s memories, preferences and dislikes are treated as useful creative material, not decoration.
The studio
It begins with attention: to a person, to a place, to what remains in memory and to the materials capable of carrying it.

Luis is the founder and perfumer of Avilés Fragrances, an independent studio in County Kerry. He creates commissioned personal perfume and original scent work for spaces.
Each project is developed from the ground up. Luis builds accords, evaluates them over time and refines every formula for balance, wear and the client’s own experience of it.
The aim is not novelty for its own sake. It is clarity: a fragrance with a distinct emotional centre, made carefully enough to feel inevitable when it is finished.

Weather, stone, water, hedgerow and woodland shape the way the studio sees texture and atmosphere. The landscape is not copied literally into perfume; it teaches the eye and nose what detail can do.

“Memory softens the scene. Scent returns the texture.”
Working principles
The client’s memories, preferences and dislikes are treated as useful creative material, not decoration.
Botanicals and aroma ingredients are selected for the role they perform, with safety, stability and sourcing considered throughout.
Formulas are evaluated over time and on skin. Resting and revision are part of the work.
Blending, filling, labelling and final checks remain close to the studio and to the person making the formula.
